Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

In terms of ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has any American President pushed the idea that everyone will go back to the 1947 Partition Plan that provided that Israel and Palestine would each have there own state and that the dimensions from the 1947 Partition Plan will be used? Has there been too much pressure on the president to do something other than go by the 1947 Partition Plan. Have Palestinians just continued to reject the Partition Plan? If anyone would like to broad up the issue you can do so. You can even point out if you think the Partition Plan was a good idea.
