Excellent NYT LTTE re: recruiting standards

To the Editor:

Re “Moral Waivers and the Military” (editorial, Feb. 20):

No doubt, Army recruiting standards have declined and should be upgraded. As your editorial suggests, “The military is America’s face to much of the world.”

Organizations often reflect the character of their leaders, and the Army is no exception.

We also need to upgrade our recruiting standards for the commander in chief.

2. And upgrade standards for the recruiters
Who recruited bush (besides the rich guys who stay hidden in their castles)? Poor ignorant trash and religious zealots. What did they come up with? A drug addicted, military deserting corporate criminal to lead us. That's as much of a reflection on jaems dobson as it is on bush.

3. Court appointed pResidents are about as dufus as court appointed
lawyers who sleep through the trials.
