Oops. Edit,thanks for the correction.

Thus said Bob Saget on the show 1 vs 100. The first question was mechanical and 22 people got it wrong. The second question was "Which political party has the donkey as its symbol?". Of the 78 contestants that where left,36 got the answer wrong.

1. Ponder that. That means those 38 can't even read a political cartoon correctly.

2. Kind of funny that the show got it wrong, unless I'm badly mistaken.

3. 36 of 78?
what did the rest say, "no party uses the mule" cause that is the correct answer. Mules, of course, not being Donkeys (the symbol of the Democratic Party)

4. I don't know what political party has a mule as its symbol
The Democratic Party's symbol is a donkey. They're different.

5. Well, a mule is a half-donkey, so the remainder got the answer half right.

8. Either the show's writers are as ignorant as the
rest of the public or the question was a deliberate diss.

Many of the questions on that show are absolute no-brainers and yet the 100 people in the "mob" quickly bomb out. The producers pepper the group with some Jeopardy champs and Mensa members to keep the contestant from earning too much, though, so it all evens itself out. The American public, in general, is frighteningly uninformed about current events and politics. No wonder we're stuck with the chimp and Cheney.

9. The wording of the question was different.
It started off like... "Let's face it, You're a jack ass. Which political party are you a mascot for?" ...something to that effect.

Answers:
A: Republican
B: Democratic
C: Libertarian

Contestant..."Who cares about the Libertarians."
