Q Has the President talked to the Vice President yet?

MR. SNOW: I don't think so. They had a busy morning. The Vice President is on the plane. Typically, what happens is the Vice President comes in, and he'll do an exhaustive debrief with the President, and frankly, nobody else. And the way he works is he shares his counsel with the President, nobody else, so I'm sure he will do that at great length when he gets back.

2. They never seem to chitchat, do they? At least that's what the press is always told.
I dunno, if it were MY Number One that barely escaped being blown sky high, I'd be on the goddamned phone, asking questions, getting the SITREP.

But that's just me, I suppose. George is apparently quite incurious, indeed.

5. Why wake him up? He may have known ...
It was probably a BFEE attempt to clear the seat & prop up the Chimperor's last 2 years in office ... Fitgerald was getting close with all that Plame stuff, and there's those investigations into the Halliburton no-bids and lost money in Iraq, you know ...

4. Imagine - "an exhaustive debrief" to dubya
I have to chuckle at the notion.

What, dick's out of the country? Well make sure he stays the course.

11. I picture Cheney slumped over in a chair sleeping...
...while Junior gives Dr. Condoleeza a foot rub. Then Dick starts coughing- waking himself up- gets out of his chair, tells no one in particular to "go fuck yourself" and walks out of the room. Debriefing over.

8. Remember this!
Dozens of high-level officials joined in a White House drill yesterday to see how the government would respond if several cities were attacked simultaneously with bombs similar to those used against U.S. troops in Iraq.

<snip>

President Bush went on a bike ride yesterday morning and did not take part in the test.
