I purchased some Girl Scouts Cookies
they had a table at Walgreen's. And I wondered whether the Girl Scouts also went all homophobic, or, when it comes to gay women, the fire and damnation crowd does not care.

3. I believe there are two American bakeries responsible for Girl Scout cookies.
But you may want to doublecheck me on that.

4. Don't know about that, but I do know they hate the race track crowd.
(race horses, not cars) When I was a kid, I sold more cookies than anybody in the area troops, but because I sold them to race trackers, I went unrecognized as punishment. LOL.

You can freeze them.

Then in the middle of the year when no one else has any, you can charge $5.50 a box.

32. Yes, I know that they are two organizations, this is why I asked
and am glad to find out that, as others pointed out, girls are more level headed and inclusive than boys, nothing new there.

17. Well, one good thing about the Girl Scouts is...
And I may be wrong on this, but our taxes don't go to helping them out as much as the Boy Scouts (who are much, much more discriminatory), they have no official stand on sexuality therefore, there's no policy on membership based on sexual preference, the original pledge mentions God, but it's been decided that you can substitute another deity or phrase, prayer is neither banned or required, and individual councils have had connections with Planned Parenthood. One such case led to an attempted boycott of Girl Scout cookies sold in Waco, but the non-insane residents of Waco stepped up, and a record number of cookies were sold.

This is from Wikipedia by the way.

29. Most of the money
raised by the cookie sales goes directly to the troop making the sales for things such as the girl scout camps and other things. My daughters were Girl Scouts and due to them selling so many boxes their camp fees were reduced quite a bit. It also goes into a general fund for each troop for things such as field trips and such.

19. The Girl Scouts are NOT homophobes. They are a completely separate organization...
...and during the brouhaha over the Boy Scouts one of the heads of the GSA was quoted as saying the GSA does not discriminate.

21. Relax
The Girl Scouts are not homophobic. They don't care if you're lesbian/bisexual. I myself bought two boxes of cookies over the past week and certainly wouldn't do that if they were homophobic and anti-atheist like the Boy Scouts are.

:hi:

The Boy Scouts are notoriously homophobic--as well as anti-atheist. It's not stretch to wonder if the Girl Scouts might be too (though thankfully they aren't).
