How long has Dan Abrams been doing "Teflon John" features on McCain?

My jaw dropped when I heard him talking about the free pass the media is giving McCain, "coming up in our new segment, Teflon John"

It's certainly true that he's gotten a free ride.

... his weaknesses. He knows jack**** about the economy, he's a bitter old war-monger that thinks we're going to lose Iraq for the same reason we lost Vietnam (damn liberal media - we should have just dropped more bombs on women and children the way McCain did), and he's talking out of both sides of his mouth about cutting spending (he won't cut Social Security or especially the military). On top of that, he's old and shows it, feeble, and probably has less than 5 years to live because of the type of cancer he had(/has). You set the fire hot enough, teflon will melt.

8. and, it's been just as bad since then

After the NY Times story, the media consensus was that it was a big Win for McCain because the NY Times didn't follow-up the story, and it also got conservatives to rally to McCain's defense because he was being attacked by those big bad libruls at the Times.
