2. Bush's favorite standard...
...with apologies to Mr. Rodgers & Hart

Isnt it romantic?
Gunfire in the night, a dream that can be heard.

Isnt it romantic?
Grieving shadows write the oldest magic word.

I hear the drones playing in the trees above
Employing tactics that BushCo™ loves.

Isnt it romantic
Merely to thirst for blood such as this?

Isnt it romantic?
Every corpse dispatched like a lovers kiss.

Sweet carnage in the moonlight,
Do you mean to go to war perchance?
Isnt it romance?

3. Tonight, hubby finally opened the big bundle of V Mail his dad saved from WWll
It's the ones his dad received, from the family, as a very young guy when he was in the 75th during the Battle of the Bulge until the end of '45. Dad never did like to talk about any of it. He only shared a couple of experiences. "Romantic" never factored in.

Resident Shitferbrains will never have a clue.

4. They're an amazing chronical of the ordinary day to day stuff and the extraordinary cicumstances
of our parents, aren't they?

I have a box of them myself, from both sides. My Mom saved all that my Dad sent her. Unbeknownst to her, he saved all that she sent him.

Collections like these could be published, unedited, and make for fascinating reading.

And a lesson on life.

I hope you had a great day today! :hi:
