Dear Media Fuckwits ..... lemme get this straight .......
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 02:56 PM by Husb2Sparkly
..... today ..... as we consider the 4,000th death in the Mess'o Potamia, you all are saying you're not reporting on the war because the American public no longer is all that interested?

Is that about it? Is that what I am to take from the endless stream on new faces you're sending up against the cameras on the various news (hahahahahaha) cable channels?

You're not reporting because the pubic doesn't care?

Did you ever stop to think that maybe your job as newzpeople (see Journo101 curriculum) is REPORT THE FUCKING NEWZ?

How many other stories have you buried?

Florida recount '00. Remember that one?

Stolen election '02

Stolen election '04

CIA agent outing?

Male hooker hanging around in the White House with shady record keeping shrouding the multiple occurrances of this 'alleged' event?

The similarly shady antics of one now-jailed superlobbyist?

You get the idea.

You people are supposed to REPORT the news, not hide it.

News isn't subject to popularity polls. Punditry and political coverups are. But not newz.

Ahhhhhh ..... never mind.

You guys are as useful as nipples on a bull.

"whore" in place of "*^&^$^$@!"?

"Some around here" are what might be termed "NeoVictorian Tightasses".

Your VP,

PS. The MSM disgusts me and clearly is the mouthpiece for the corporations that own them.

5. I am reminded of something Yogi Berra once said
"No one goes there anymore. It is too crowded"

Sort of the inverse of what you point out.

You can't use the excuse that no one is interested for not bringing it up....or maybe that's just me.

10. I have come to the counterintuitive belief that the news media avoid controversy.
Here's why they do:

1. They are losing audience to the internet, and so deathly afraid
of causing offense to absolutely anybody.

2. Their job is not just to deliver eyeballs to the ads. Their job
is to deliver the eyeballs of well-heeled, confident consumers to the
ads. If they reported the failings of the 9/11 Commission or the
statistical anomolies in the elections, that would reduce consumer
confidence--and that's bad for business.

15. I don't believe it's the consumers they're afraid of losing so much
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 04:46 PM by Uncle Joe
as it's the corporations that pay for their commercials. They view the American People as customers; while that's important in a large sense, it doesn't carry the same imperative as that of corporations; whom they view as clients and their true daddies.

I also believe they're afraid of the Cheney/Bush administration's FCC or unfavorable legislation, it's not as if anyone can doubt the spite of the current political "leadership" at this point in time.

Finally I believe the lower ranking talking heads, pundits, parrots and anchor people are worried about their own job security should their political opinions stray too far, if at all from their owners and CEOs.

I believe this is why anything but a very limited corporate loving message is given short shrift or ignored altogether.

14. They're lying
Their producers have been given orders by their owners not to cover the war.

The majority of them are hacks for Bush! Some of the others are worse than that - they disagree but like the pay so they shut up.

16. Boomers who vowed to "Change the System from Within" and became journalists
out of admiration for Woodward and Bernstein are now
afraid to report the news about stolen elections, 9/11,
depleted uranium, and the Downing Street Memo.

If we don't change our ways we're going to be "The
Lousiest Generation."
