Sam Just Nailed a Right Winger On McCain!!!
The caller claims to want McCain due to his supposed "intestinal fortitude". Then Sam countered with the FACT that McCain buckled after being torutred by denouncing America for his involvement in war crimes against Vietnamese. This was of course excused by Sam, and I agree, I mean, come on, he was tortured... however what isn't excused is how McCain now supports torture while in full knowledge that torture elicits false testimony, as McCain himself admitted to during a 60 Minutes interview in the 1990's.

BUSTED... the man has not only no intestinal fortitude, but he's a phoney liar willing to sellout for political purposes so now he has no integrity either.

1. Let's hope that this --
"the man has not only no intestinal fortitude, but he's a phoney liar willing to sellout for political purposes so now he has no integrity either."
--is very well established in the G.E.

2. This is one of the reasons I love Sam
He nails them without being totally obnoxious about it. The wacko right winger that came on after this one was even worse than the first one. It's quite amazing that there are so many of them still defending their heroes, Bush and McCain.

Sounded like he was going to cry after telling Sam to "whip it out!". That was embarrassing.

5. Actually, I can forgive McCain for breaking down when he was a POW in Vietnam.
Even the toughest of the tough were forced to do so out there. EVERYBODY has a breaking point.

What I cannot forgive is McCain's sucking up to lobbyists and religious warmongers and his eagerness to go to war in Iraq/Iran and indirectly supporting torture out there.

Some folks never learn.

9. As Did I.... and Sam Did as Well
I stated as much in the OP. But what makes him look weak is his stance on an issue he has personal experience with. He stated himself on 60 Minutes that his testimony was forced out of him due to torture... that means he knows any intelligence gathered from water boarding is not credible.

He's lacks integrity and honesty.

Sam is a genius too remind people of that fact (torture elicits false testimony) in this manner.

Randi isn't worthy of smelling Sam's athletic supporter!

11. Sam never ceases to amaze me with his grasp of the facts and his ability to take down the 'pukes
I think Randi is very sharp too but she seems to be too argumentative at times. Sam seems to lay out his arguments in a very calm and logical manner. I think he is more likely to change people's minds.

15. He and His Supporters are Afraid of Him Being Called a "FLIP-FLOPPER" on Torture
You don't convince me.... it shows he has a lack of integrity nor does he have the fortitude he and his supporters claim he has. His flip flopping on such an issue shows extreme weakness. He buckles under torture TWICE!

17. If we attack him on this front we will win.
If we are too afraid to take this issue head on and make it ours, we are screwn.

Of course we acknowledge his service and his bravery. But we have to also acknowledge that he cracked under pressure and TOLD HIS CAPTORS WHAT THEY WANTED TO HEAR.

What he told them was worthless from a military intelligence point of view, of course. As is what we manage to extract from men we've tortured. That's the point.

Anyway, if we shy away from this, the Reich will hit us over the head with it. Better to be pro-active, and I'm delighted that Sam's been on the case. (By the way, this is hardly the first time he's brought it up on his show.)

18. When did McCain come out in favor of torture?
I thought he was the only Puke against it. I remember him standing against in the debates.
