Through the looking glass with Tweety
Tweety just explained something very important to us rube "viewers" out there. The press likes Mccain. They like him because he is "loose." No one watching McSame on TV over the years has seen this oh so important "looseness." That does not mean it doesn't exist. He is "loose" with his chosen press people in the back of his bus. We are just going to have to take his word for it. And it is very important that he is loose. It is so important that it justifies preferential treatment right up through the General Election and beyond.

Loose. Got it?

1. He's A Fucking MAVERICK!!!
They're not sure why, or what the hell a maverick is....but if there is such a thing, McCain is definitely one, in their opinion.

4. You know, when they played his comments on NPR this morning I could only
hope that people realize how poorly he grasps the MAJOR problems in our economy at the moment.
When he said he wasn't as up on the economy as he was on the war, he wasn't kidding. It was obvious
he was just throwing talking points out to his "bootstraps" base and didn't get how close we could be to a
collapse of some major financial institutions and our house of cards economy. What a blockhead. :eyes:

I guess Tweety didn't notice that....of course that won't get ratings - discussing our economic situation. It's all about
being loose. Riiight....

8. Tweety likes "loose" because....
it matches his own loose screw. Those loose screws just rattle around so nicely together in the bottom of the bucket.

There. I just wasted my 3000th post. I've been waiting to think of something so erudite, wise, and compelling that it would go to the top of the greatest page. But I haven't thought of anything and don't feel like waiting any more.

11. It's Also Hero Worship...
I also heard Tweety say on many occasions "the man is a national hero"...which somehow gives him a pass on a lot of things. It sure makes Gramps some military expert despite a reckless career that ended him up in that POW camp and little other experience. They also grovel at ths legend...blinded by the narrative he's help them create over the years and he's gonna exploit to the hilt.

Tweety, like almost all the beltway talking heads live in a cartoon world of stereotypes and generalizations. It's plastic and shallow as all make their fame and power from perpetuating this game.

12. But John Kerry was fair game?
I know tweety is stupid and shallow and most of all, egotistical. Did you see his face when he showed clips of himself on Ellen and in the Obama girl video? The man lives to be noticed. But his hero worship only applies to repugs, so there is an idealogical bias. Whether the bias is his own or just reflects his corporate masters' wishes is irrelevant to me. He is biased, regardless of what some DU defenders say.

13. He's Been Whipped...
For the past 20 years, there's been a beltway denial game. It's aimed at so-called "former Democrats"...who were constantly attacked as being the "librul media" and wanted to sit at the big boy's table. People like Tweety and Russert and Joke Line...err Joe Klein began to portray themselves as "librul" or "moderate" while attempting to please their right wing contacts and drinkie-drinkie buddies. They started to use right wing memes and talking points and assume they were "fact" and built their own narratives that the wingnuts would then use to "give credibility" to their own distortions and lies.

Listen to a Tweety and he's firmly sold that Democrats "tax and spend" despite seeing, first-hand, the financial wrecklenssness of Raygun and the booooshies. He's sold that Clinton did everything he's accused of and Hillary must have been an accomplice...his hatred for those people is obsessive and personal. Then he also gives passes to criminals like DeLay who are the ones who let him at the big boy's table and he still feels are the "real power".

It'll be interesting to see which way Tweety swings if there's a massive Democratic wave that outsts the current power elite and installs a new one.
