Doesn't it seem, that to some you can never be right-wingish enough?

I've noticed that when looking at some of the right wing blogs: If you are a democrat, of course you are lowest scum. But if you are a libertarian, then you are not a real conservative. If you are a conservative who is pro-life, but not a bible thumper, there is always someone saying that this is not good enough. If you are in the military, but in the airforce instead of the marines, someone will eventually say that you are a wuss. If you are in the marines, but an officer instead of a simple private, eventually someone will say that the brass always gets the better end. It seems like right-wingers are never satisfied, no matter what. All through the bush administration, with almost limiteless power on the right-wings side, they have been bitching about the grand left-wing conspiracy.

Authoritarians tend to function better when they have inside vs. outside groups and are unified in their hostility to outside groups. In Altemeyers book on Authoritarians he predicted that even if they did take over society, they'd just self destruct by splintering into a variety of groups.
