Judge Korda (ANS) just claimed that since the baby was "likely" to have been concieved in California, he has decided that jurisdiction is with California, not Florida..

Looks like he's gonna punt the whole issue away.. (DNA testing).

so be careful out there, if you go around concieving young 'uns in different states and or countries...

Look for the fundies to latch onto this ruling to add another log to their fire against "born here= US citizenship"

3. Well, I don't know if CA has jurisdiction, but FL certainly doesn't.

If she hadn't died there, none of this would be going on in FL.

I saw Virgie's attorney on Catherine Crier last night. He came out and said, explicitly, that Virgie not only intends to go after the body, she also is going after custody of the baby. According to the lawyer, Bahamian law states that, in the absence of a legally married husband, custody of the baby goes to the next of kin, who is Virgie.

It's all about the money, isn't it? Virgie is a dreadful woman, that baby belongs with her biological father, if he can be identified.
