Ferraro outrage irony - They would have already fired Randi if I were black
"What did they do with Don Imus when he went after the young black team who was playing basketball with kind of the same language?"

Regardless of the fact that Randi didn't say it on air, that she is a woman, and that she was targeting political people in the public, all in contrast with Imus, it's amusing that the first thing Ferraro runs to is to make the black comparison. She apparently can't help herself.

1. Yeah, when Feminist Majority got involved
http://feminist.org/news/newsbyte/printnews.asp?id=10249

Feminist Majority Foundation President Eleanor Smeal will join the team and the Rutgers community at a rally this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Nichol and George on the Douglass Campus.

TAKE ACTION First, email CBS Radio and MSNBC and demand that Don Imus be fired. Then, sign our petition to congratulate both the Rutgers and Tennessee teams for their amazing seasons -- don't let Imus's comments take away from their celebration!

2. So if she'd called Obama a pimp, she would NOT have been fired?
As for excluding Randi from rampant sexism because she's a woman, that's like saying there are no black racists, either. Or Jewish anti-Semites.

When we all know there are.

So take your false analogies and stuff 'em.

3. Some idiot here actually told me that blacks cannot be racists!
Because they are "the minority." Only WHITES can be racists. Who knew?

I provided examples to demonstrate the lunacy of that viewpoint, to no avail. No "minority" apparently, can be a racist. Even if they are from a group that is a "majority" in other countries.

When a Sikh has his hair cut off by a Pakistani, and the state classifies it a hate crime, there's no "racism" there--because they're minorities. Toss Paleboy Caucasian in the mix, though, and voila--it's a racial crime. When the black guys beats the living shit out of the Korean who runs the corner store, that's not a hate/racist crime. Because they're both "minorities."

I can't believe how stupid some people are, here. Or how blind.

Racism is a problem for ALL OF US. Not just those whites.

And sexism is, too. Half our population are victims of it, even if it isn't directed at them, specifically. An insult to one is an insult to all.

5. ALL of our population are victims of sexism.
To imagine that sexism doesn't make men less than THEY could be...just think of the mental gymnastics men have had to perform for generations to make themselves believe their mothers, daughters, and contorted like a pretzel.

7. You're quite right. Even though only half the population bear the brunt, we all bear the shame. NT

9. Gerry has become quite tiresome.
Reminds me of our local TV news. They can report on something in a country thousands of miles away that has little or no chance of happening here, but they always say, "Now, what if this were to happen in OUR state?"

Gerry is really reaching with a lot of her stuff, always trying to make it about her and about race.

Gerry, go find a nice, relaxing place, and just chill out for awhile, okay?
