COST OF WAR:

NEW POLL SHOWS 89 PERCENT OF AMERICANS SEE

WAR IN IRAQ AS DRAIN ON U.S. ECONOMY

The American people understand the enormous cost of the war in Iraq - to our troops, our military readiness, and to our struggling economy.

In a New York Times/CBS poll released today, 89 percent of those surveyed believe the cost of the war has contributed "a lot" or "some" to U.S. economic problems.

It's going to bankrupt us financially, but the biggest bankruptcy is in our character, reputation and national karma.

5. Of that, how many see the "war" as an illegal occupation of a foreign country?
At least 89% are completely devoid of sense.

7. What were the numbers per person again?
$4xx per person, per month for Iraq and Afghanistan? That's more PP than most municipalities spend on law enforcement and firefighters put together.

10. I'm so glad!
Five fucking years.... 4,013 US dead... hundreds of thousands of Iraqi dead... US international relations stir-fried... the entire Middle East destabilized... etc, etc....

And NOW the dumb-fuck Murikan people think the Iraq war wasn't such a hot idea because it might cost us some money??!!

Well... now we know where the Murikan hearts reside.... in their fucking wallets!

Why would these Murikans fear the war spending? After all, relatively little of the war spending is in the budget. It's mostly on the VISA card for our grandchildren to pay.

Us 30%ers - those who knew this thing would be a clusterfuck - are waaay to understanding. We should be shouting "WE TOLD YOU SO!!!
from our rooftops.
