My impression of Jim Webb/Lindsey Graham on This Week
Webb let Graham get in way too many talking points, beat the drum for war against Iran, and did NOTHING to stem the bleeding of our war in Iraq and the upcoming testimony by General Kissass. He was ineffective and seemed to be asleep, while Graham dominated the time they had.

Bad job Senator Webb, you got punked by the misAdministration.

1. Shit. I have high hopes for an Obama-Webb ticket.
He does seem awkward and disinterested in these stilted formats from time to time. Surely, he has room to grow.

2. I'm very disappointed in Webb
He recently voted for telecom immunity and the Iran guard are terrorists resolution. I called his office on 2 occasions and they assured me he would vote against immunity. When it came time to vote, he did the exact opposite.

5. Let them beat the drum for war with Iran. That will scare voters into
the Democratic party. How many Americans want the US to start yet another war? They aren't very pleased with the ones we have.

8. And have a revolution on his hands the next day.
A war with Iran would be the last action taken by this government, as it stands.

10. The Iranian army would sweep across Iraq, trapping our soldiers

with no access to the Persian Gulf. There's only two major highways to Saudi Arabia. The Euphrates bridges had better be intact.
The Shia have firm control over Basra, and that will only become more difficult for us. We could head for Jordan, but going through Anbar province might not be much of a joy ride. If Syria jumps in, that route would be out of the question. Going north would expose our flank to Iran.

11. But until they leave office, our leaders are weak and afraid to challenge them
81% of the county says we are on the wrong track, why don't they confront him???

12. There was a reality no backbone could overcome, the lack of a
a supermajority in the Senate. Without that nothing can be done against bush. Republican Senators would rather go down in defeat than go against Mitch McConnell.

I think removal in place is the best we can do for now. In some respects we are doing that now. He can't do recess appointments, he can't call the shots on capitol hill. He is so unpopular he cannot use the bully pulpit to get his way. He can veto, and do EO's, that's about it.
