I haven't seen this idea floated yet, but is it possible

that Limbaugh and all the talking heads trying to get pubs to switch parties is really just to cover any shenanigans at the polls? Think about it, people are registering Dem at almost 2 (or more) to 1. I think they're doing it because they're fed up truthfully, but here we have the Limbaugh's out there telling the pubs to switch. If they mess around with the polls or the machines, they'll just say "Numbers don't mean anything, we told them to switch and they voted in the election for their Republican values. So what?"

I'm tired, and my tin foil might be a bit tight and crumpled, but that thought just hit me tonight. What a way to cover up any monkey business.

...but it does fit in with their regular MO: being able to immediately explain the circumstances behind an event which had previously been unexpected.

No matter what happens in the world, the GOP has a ready explanation.

And it always seems to coincide with their world-view.

and it is a way to pretend Limbaugh has all kinds of power- it's BS and they are still cheating. Why not, who will stop them?
