Greg Mitchell: Bill Kristol Links Obama to--Karl Marx!
Bill Kristol's column in the Monday New York Times is always something to look forward to after a long weekend, as he continues to fill the political humor op-ed slot at the paper once filled so ably by Russell Baker. Today he serves up an unintentionally hysterical classic, using Barack Obama's recent remarks about people clinging to religion in hard times to link the candidate to - are you ready for this? -- Karl Marx...http://www.huffingtonpost.com/greg-mitchell/bill-kristol-links-obama_b_96555.html

2. I Just Read That - Thinking it was Kristof
Not used to the lunatic Kristol being a NYT's columnist yet and while I'm reading this, I'm scratching my head thinking this doesn't sound like Nickolas Kristof. Now I know why - won't make this mistake again.

6. He's not so dumb - he just planted the name Marx with Obama and
all the nevery-question-anyting-Republican lemmings might hear the names and put their own commie hating interpretation on it.

7. I said yesterday I thought that was the connection they were going to make to attack
Obama. The problem is with a certain segment of people it will work.

8. Bill Kristol can be absolutely linked to Leon Trotsky. No joke.
Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 12:48 PM by shain from kane

From the internets ---

"Neo-conservatism was developed by a group of intellectuals graduated from the City College of New York in the late 1930's, a group that includes Irving Kristol, Daniel Bell and Nathan Glazer. Many of this group came to despise the counterculture of the 1960's and what they felt was a growing "anti-Americanism" among many baby boomers. And during the Cold War era, many of them came to realize the evil of the Stalinist regime. Kristol described a neoconservative as a "liberal mugged by reality". The development of neo-conservatism was strongly influenced by the work of German philosopher Leo Strauss and Marxist theorist Leon Trotsky. Irving Kristol himself was once a member of the 4th international."

9. & what's worse, in a way, Bill can be linked to Dan Quayle!
He was Mr.Potatoe-head's chief-of-staff, 'Quayle's brain'. A job with plenty of room to work.
