An FCC cable box in every home!
We must fill the analog to digital gap! Keep up with the Jones etc.., plus we don't really need to own the airwaves. Series. Get your gummit rebate for a FCC cable box, so you can be entertained for 49.99 a month. :sarcasm:

I thought there were people fighting for our freedoms over there so we could be 'free' over here!?

2. It's not a cable box, It's a converter for over-the-air signal.
People who rely solely on cable (or a dish) will not need one. And over-the-air signals will still be free, but you'll likely receive more channels, with a better picture.

The sky is not falling.

3. No TV,.... no problem....
I want to watch something, I go to someone else's house.

Spend more time with my guitar, that way.

4. huh?
It's not a cable box. And there's no monthly fee associated with it.

I can see this is the new chemtrails for the tinfoil crowd.

5. There is no monthly fee
Converter boxes run about $40-60, and the coupons you request from the government are good for $40 off. Hence, you get greatly improved reception, no static, no ghosting, DVD-quality picture and sound, and added side channels. All for a one-time outlay of no more than $20-25. That sounds worth it to me.

You want to be free of the cable monopolies? This is the best way to do it.

6. I'd Be More Fearful Of Your Computer
First...the converter box DOES NOT hook up to cable...in fact it's for those who DON'T and can't afford cable. It converts the digital TV signal so an analog TV set can receive it.

I'd be more concerned about your internet connection, especially if you have a webcam...spyware, malware...the special room on Folsom Street in San Francisco.

8. This again?
There are Liberal people who are extremely knowledgeable about issues and take passionate but well-reasoned positions on the Left.

And then there are people who think they are Liberal but do not understand the things they rant about, and usually end up saying completely inane things that make the rest of us look like retarded people.

Man do I wish people would educate themselves about things before they start popping off.
