Tonight Only in Philly: A 'Condi Must Go' Ad

A coalition of liberal anti-war groups will air an ad critical of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during tonight's debate between Democratic rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama. Watch the ad:

The spot, produced and paid for by TrueMajority.org, Brave New Films and Democracy for America, will air only on WPVI-TV, the ABC affiliate in Philadelphia. It is in response to recent news reports that Rice and other Bush administration officials discussed and approved interrogations methods for high-ranking al Qaeda suspects.

The groups have also launched a new Web site -- CondiMustGo.com -- where supporters can sign a petition calling for Rice's resignation.

There are currently no plans for the ad to air nationwide, according to TruMajority.org spokeswoman Moira Mack.

I was too young for experiencing Carter when he was President; I was raised by media, and possibly school with the notion that Carter was the worst President evah!

What I've learned from him in about the last decade has made me come to have an enormous amount of respect for the man. He's a statesman that should be sought out for advice by any and all Democrats.

That would weld Gramps to the booosh legacy like a titanium chain around his leg. Rice, besides being the most inept and worst Secretary of State ever (damn do I miss Maggie Albright), she's a war criminal who should be hounded the rest of her life to be accountable for all she's done.

Ironically, a week ago I was floored when a "moderate" acquaintance (a Repugnican) said she would love Rice to run. I asked why. I got a ton of right wing claptrap...but somehow that none of what went bad was Condi's fault...and somehow if Obama's the candidate, having their own "black" would push Gramps over the top. I didn't have the heart to ask her how her theory would go over the the fundies and biggots who would have a tougher time deciding to vote against the woman or the black. But then she'd probably tell me that Condi's not black...she's "dark yellow"

Next thing you know, you'll be attacking Dick Cheney. :grr:

We were down at my sister's in South Jersey last weekend and she gets the Philly channels. Nothing but Obama and Clinton commercials, every single commercial break. I couldn't imagine a month of them, I'd start bleeding out of my eye sockets.

I have that whole series of Condi pics saved. I think they're brilliant and will one day be a lot more famous, once history is written.
