We come on the ship they call the Mayflower
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 10:29 PM by catnhatnh
we come on the ship they call the moon
we come in the nations most uncertain hour
and sing an American tune...
But it's allright,It's allright
you can't be forever blessed
but tommorrows just another working day
and all I need is a little rest...
all I need is just a little rest....

Kathy I said as we boarded the Greyhound in Pittsburg
Michagan seems like a dream to me now...
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike
They've all gone to look for America.....

I have my books, and my poetry to protect me,
I am shielded in my armor,
I have no need for friendship, friendship causes pain,
It's laughter and it's loving I disdain....

and these guys aren't even Dylan...but great lyrics...

3. The middle one is from my favourite Simon & Garfunkel song.
I think it's the closest Simon ever got to pure poetry. Thanks for the feeling you just gave me.
