U.S. has Mandela on terrorist list

WASHINGTON — Nobel Peace Prize winner and international symbol of freedom Nelson Mandela is flagged on U.S. terrorist watch lists and needs special permission to visit the USA. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice calls the situation "embarrassing," and some members of Congress vow to fix it.

This is ridiculous. How many people are on that list because of the kind of political witch hunting that landed Governor Siegelman in prison?

So, Nelson Mandela is on the list with former DoJ lawyer who thinks detainees in Gitmo have a basic human right to a fair trial, and a few US air marshalls who are on the list for who knows why.

Did anybody bother to put Osama on the list? Or did his pals in the White House get his name scrubbed?

If the Bush Regime weren't engaged in mass murder, torture and grand theft: nation, they'd be the best comedy act since the Keystone Kops.
