~*~Official Ava Appreciation Thread~*~
I can't even begin to put into words how awed I am by Ava. She is so much farther ahead in her activism and sense of civic duty than many adults. She takes on the difficult issues, and really puts her heart and soul into everything that she does. I am so appreciative of all of her hard work and the impact that she continues to make on the influential people in this country.

Ava, you are such an amazing and inspiring young woman, and I couldn't be prouder of all that you do.

8. Her Iraq videos are *remarkable*.
It's like a slap in the face. Brings one abruptly to the realization that the MSM is sanitizing this war to a degree that was up to that point unimaginable.

When these "surgical" air strikes take place with these alleged 'smart' bombs, innocent people die.... burned to death or dismembered; others are orphaned and thereby emotionally crippled for life; others have to bury their kids and they themselves join the ranks of the living dead, psychologically speaking. Everyone near that damn thing is damaged permanently.

But, to channel Roberta Flack from a generation ago: 'business goes on as usual' in the US commercial 'news' industry.

We were fortunate to spend a couple of delightful evenings with Ava and avasmom (her screen name here) when Ava was the featured speaker at our annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.

They and the whole family have an open invitation to return.
