Getting Rid of Ted Stevens
Why has it been so hard for Democrats to get rid of Ted Stevens? It seems like he is a horrible Senator who promotes wasteful spending and at one time prevented needed investigations from occuring.

8. Yeah, Don Young...
Now, THERE'S a waste of space. I don't think he's going to even make it out of the primary this year.

5. He is a deeply entrenched politician in this state.
He has name recognition everywhere, he has spread pork all over the state (they don't call him uncle ted for nothing). He is as tight a you can be with the all the extraction and exploitation companies. This is were he gets his huge war chest from. However, I think his time is running out, people are sick of the mess that the repugs have made and he is in the front and center of the problem.

7. Ted may be finished this year.
Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich is running against him, and in my opinion, anyway, stands a good chance of winning. Ted's had a good run, and he has done a lot for the state, but he's gotten greedy, and I think his time has come.
