1. did you see Maher's new rules from last week?
He said when they're charging $4.00 for a gallon of gas, they can forget about the 9/10 stuff!!

That's true.........if it costs $3.50 or more per gallon, who cares about 9/10 of a cent?

2. I talked to the guy at the gas station where I walk my dog
The Price of the gas was $3.99..9/10, I said:

'Well, it looks like we finally got that $4.00 gas'

He said: 'Nope, its still under $4'

I then asked him if he could change a penny for me.

3. More proof that America can't change
Can you remember when it wasn't 9/10? I remember when sometimes there was 2-1/2 cents difference in the grades of gas, if regular was .29-9/10, then premium might be .31-4/10.

However, as things change and the 9/10 becomes useless, like the penny, the Farenheit scale, and most software put out by Microsoft, Americans STILL cling to these things as though they were cultural treasures. They wander through life with old familiar pacifiers stuck in their mouth, never quite weaned. Anyone suggesting otherwise is branded an crazed radical who doesn't know what Americans want.

4. I remember a couple of stations doing odd tenths even in the 80s.
And I remember thinking, "It's almost a buck a gallon. Who the hell cares?"

But you're right. Now it just looks plain retarded.
