If you don't have cable, you can stream this very fine interview (Peter Slen) here. It will be up shortly:

http://www.booktv.org/

She was absolutely tremendous.

The interview will re-air next Saturday.

1. Yes, I caught it later last night

I was interrupted a couple of times so I'll need to watch it again. :D

I was surprised to see that Slen interviewed her. He was respectful and at times even appeared a little nervous. I always took him for more of a right winger but could be wrong. What do you think?

I liked her home so much. After we painted our rooms I slacked off about hanging all our pictures back up but am now inspired to get them all hung again.

Admission here - I've seen the movie version of TCP but have never read any of her books. When she said her favorite from among her many books is Temple of My Familiar I ordered it almost immediately. I seem to be on a non-fiction jag. But after reading about Temple, I didn't resist. It's right up my alley.

2. Slen did a good job. Imho, he is a winger but didn't go there
for this interview.

I think I've read everything right up to TCP -- lots of catching up to do. :)

Her gardens are beautiful, aren't they? And the art all over the house is amazing.

3. There was one time when he counterpointed with the wingnut view
I think it had something to do with the Middle East. Overall, it was a very cordial interview.

I got the impression that he was as taken with her home as we are.

5. Is that a recent photo? She has aged well.
I am so envious of black women, because they do age well.
