First sentence: drop "intelligent". Every citizen wants reasonable prices. If you want to be nasty, why not say Non-evil citizens? (Just kidding, don;t say non-evil, just drop intelligent)
Also, change "of these incredible price increases" to "
to these incredible price increases".
Change "Some facts are" to "Please consider".
Change:
• Gas prices have increased 75 percent since President Bush’s first inauguration. Gas was $1.46 when President Bush was elected. Every one-cent increase costs the American people approximately $1 billion.
To:
• When Bush first took office, gas was $1.46/gallon. It has since gone up 75 percent, with every one-cent increase per gallon translating to 1 billion dollars for the oil corporations.
Change:
• Oil companies are making record profits. Exxon Mobil made $40 billion in PROFIT in 2007. Exxon’s CEO, Rex Tillerson, made $21.7 million plus perks in 2007. Not bad — while the nation struggles.

• Oil companies are making record profits. For instance, in 2007 alone, Exxon Mobil made $40 billion in PROFIT. In that same time, their CEO, Rex Tillerson, made $21.7 million plus perks. Not bad — while the nation struggles.
Change:
• The oil and gas industry has contributed over $67 million to Republicans since 2000. Even our own Joe Barton has received $1.8 million from the oil industry and John Cornyn has received $349,780. In 2004, 13 Bush pioneers and rangers were in the oil industry.

(The ranger stuff sounds too "inside baseball")Again, I would suggest dropping the word "Intelligent" in the last sentence, it sounds a little too much like John McCain's "My friends".
Also, you may want to mention something about the promise that invading Iraq would alleviate gas prices, but that didn't materialize.
Just a few suggestions.
