Your new friend in the days of soaring gas prices

http://www.kitv.com/mostpopular/16164968/detail.html
Auto parts stores like NAPA tell KITV they have seen a steady increase in sales of gas cap locks in recent months. As the price of gasoline rises auto parts stores are getting more inquiries and seeing more sales of such gadgets.

1. Some idiot siphoned gas from trucks belonging to US governement agnecy here
Staff torn between putting on locking caps and letting it go on with addition of video camera and finger print dusting

The agency is one of the few things that actually brings money into this community. Stealing THAT gas is really stupid and hateful. In a town this small, it is also asking for trouble.

3. May have to look into this
The salty roads in the winter is where the driveshaft bike really shines.

Also wet weather.

Since I do day in/out four seasons duty on my bike, chain/gear shift maintenance adds up. For an actual 'working' bike, direct drive may offer some real advantages.

5. 50 million people drive their cars for commutes of less than 5 miles?
And yet none of those 50 million post here.

I know this because whenever someone on this site suggests not driving so much people swear that it just isn't possible.
