War dead cremated at facility for pets??!!!!
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Military cremation procedures have been changed after a soldier complained that his buddy's remains were taken to what appeared to be a "pet crematorium," the Pentagon announced Friday.

The U.S. military has, since 2001, cremated some of the remains of U.S. service members killed in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere in a Delaware facility that also cremates pets, a practice that ended Friday when the Pentagon banned the arrangement.

Uhm...does anyone else find this a tad bit suspicious?? If they weren't doing anything wrong, I wonder why they would shut it down so quickly....

1. Dead is dead
Ashes are just spent energy no matter from what body it came.

I don't see a problem with this, but there must be something fishy if the Pentagon shut it down so fast. Probably the crematorium owner has some type of relationship to the brass. A relationship which doesn't look too good with media spotlighted on it.

2. Toss me in there with Fluffy
To me, of course there's nothing wrong with using a pet crematorium. I've had my pets cremated -- and when I die, I say, toss me in the same oven with my beloveds. They could be hiding something (duh, of course -- with this administration), but it really could be just a this-don't-look-so good thing. A lot of people probably feel it's sacrilegious or a lack of respect for our dead soldiers.

I love my pets too, don't get me wrong, but there is something very strange about our Military cremating soldiers at a pet crematory.

6. Sure, I agree with that
Like I said (kind of), I'm of the mind that they're always up to no good!

3. They might have been cremating bodies that were unaccounted for?
I have often felt there were more dead then they were letting on. Perhaps when our soldiers have no families to look out for them, it's off to the pet crematorium. Perhaps they promise green cards to people for their service and when they die, who is going to notice if they quickly cremate them?

The pentagon outsources everything, but they take it upon themselves to burn the bodies of soldiers? At a place everyone thinks is a pet crematorium?? Then as soon as it is discovered by a friend of a soldier, they quickly shut it down!! I find this more than a bit suspicious and cannot believe that no one is interested in this on DU??

7. I have always been certain of that too
That actually sounds extremely plausible.

4. I find it so odd this story is not being discussed on DU
Don't you think if the parties in control were reversed this story would be all over the place?
