Question: Does the constitution prevent Cheney from running as McCain's VP?
I guess this is a two-part question: 1) Constitutionally, can Cheney run as McCain's VP and 2) Constitutionally, could Cheney become the actual Vice President?

I think McCain should choose Cheney for his Veep. I like the idea. I'd certainly support that ticket. But I'd still vote for the Democrat. So would most of America. There's no Constitutional prohibition against the Vice President becoming Vice President again, but who in their right mind would want a job characterized by John Nance Garner as "a warm bucket of spit"? Oh, silly me. Dickless Cheney would.

8. The VP candidate has to eligible for President, which Cheney is.
So there's no problem if Cheney is a running mate. Same is true of Jimmy Carter and GHWB. That's also why Bill Clinton or W could not be anyone's running mate.

9. They could share pacemakers!
The Constitution limits the President to two terms. There are no term limits on Vice President.

15. Good! The pacemakers could short out
...leaving the GOP ticket vacant, and Repukes having to scramble for a couple of guys to replace them.

14. I want a McCain/Cheney bumper sticker NOW ...
to cover up all the McCain bumper stickers I see. "McCain/Cheney '08 ... It's not what you want. It's not what you'll vote for. It's what you'll get."
