Robert Rauschenberg has died at his home on Captiva Island

in Florida. His work may not have been to everyone's taste, but I think he was an interesting artist. He was 82 and had been suffering from ill health for some time.

1. He was a giant.

No artist is everyone's cup of tea, but he moved the bar forward.

I think he's one of the greats of the 20th century.
