Amazing Days! It's awful, but amazing to see 30 years of "conservatism" proven wrong.
Dead wrong. And, it really wasn't conservative at all.

Real conservatives would have said, "waste not, want not." And, "a penny saved is a penny earned." These ideas are most certainly not what 30 years of "conservatism" has been.

What we're seeing is that our waste of energy has put us in a bad spot: 3 Middle East wars and gas prices rising. This will continue.

When Jimmy Carter wore a sweater, the big mouth "conservatives" joked about it. Now bush says that he gave up golf for the troops. His "sacrifice" occurred before we learned how bad conditions were at hospitals for injured troops. Why didn't bush do anything to actually help the troops? He is one of the few people who actually could. We don't want sacrifice from our leaders, we need leadership. Carter showed us that we need to change so we can tell the Sheiks to stick it. Today the Sheiks told bush to stick it. Better that our President should get a blow job in the oval office than our president being a wimp and getting stuck in the a$$ by a Sheik.

Last winter, as in the past few winters, Americans certainly wore sweaters and turned down the heat. Conserving energy is now a way of life. Carter was right. "conservatives" were wrong then and they have no idea what to do in the future.

Now, the "conservative" pyramid of evil is finally being topped. The top, is a POS saying: I will not play golf.

Hey bush, and "conservatives:" Stick it!

1. From what I've read, Barry Goldwater was a conservative.
The assholes, bush included, who call themselves conservatives now are just criminal fuckwads. If it were up to me, they'd all be in prison.

2. I've spent 28 years defending Jimmy Carter's record.
Maybe now that the fake "Morning in America" gives way to evening in America, people will start revisiting Carter's attempt to wean us off ME oil by encouraging conservation and alternative energy development. Then perhaps they'll understand that Republican Big Oil interests sold out this country's long term interests for their own short term profit. Kind of fitting that what one Bush started, the son has pretty much finished.

3. Just think where we could be now with John Anderson's 50-cents/gal surcharge
to put money into alternative fuels along with Carters agenda on alternative fuels. that 50-cent/gal surcharge could have resulted in the greatest energy research efforts known to man...but we squandered the possibility of it when Reagan was elected by the same morons who elected Bush. I bet they elect McCain. Stupid is as stupid does.

4. This is something they should be screaming from the rooftops ...
Maybe even get some of those Ross Perot-like infomercial ads ....

The 'fact' of conservative governance has been proven untenable ... They starve the bottom of the economic ladder by denying decent wages and compensation, grab all they can in the up and downturns, and then hunker down with their riches while the rest of the nation flounders ...

It doesn't benefit common citizens to support THAT kind of government ... The results are always the same with them .... They KILL economies ....

5. Now see...
...it is conservatism.

Denying it is one of the GOP's best lies.

They proudly proclaim themselves conservative, but then move the goal posts saying that what they're doing isn't true conservatism.

Have you noticed how many republicans are calling themselves "independent" or "libertarian" these days?

Their denial is quite powerful.

6. Conservatism is a fraud
There never has been anything such as conservatism. It's always been corporatism, money is nothing when it's "business", people are costs not humans. I don't know how they ever convinced the workers of this country that they were on their side.
