Guiliani kids estranged from Rudy, not going to campaign
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/03/us/politics/03rudy.html?_r=2&hp&oref=slogin&oref=slogin

Hmm... it sounds like they are loyal to their mom, Donna Hanover, and not thrilled with wife #3. When I last checked, Rudy's campaign website had lots of pics of #3, none of his kids.

See for yourself: http://www.joinrudy2008.com/biography/default.aspx

What kids? Where'd they come from?

But Mr. Giuliani’s relationship with Andrew has grown strained and distant since his very public and bitter divorce from Andrew’s mother, Donna Hanover, and his marriage to Judith Nathan, according to Andrew and others familiar with the relationship.

In a telephone interview yesterday, Andrew, a sophomore and member of the golf team at Duke University, acknowledged having had difficulties with Ms. Nathan, and said that he and his father had recently tried to reconcile after not speaking “for a decent amount of time.”

“There’s obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife,” the younger Mr. Giuliani said. “And we’re trying to figure that out. But as of right now it’s not working as well as we would like.”

<snip>

Some campaign Web sites highlight pictures of candidates with family members, but Mr. Giuliani’s does not mention his children, though it includes photographs and mentions of Ms. Nathan.

2. "recently tried to reconcile"
Very soon after Rudy decided to declare his candidacy, I'll bet.

3. New Yorkers KNOW what a shit-head he really is....
Edited on Sat Mar-03-07 11:14 AM by npincus
before he was sainted on 9-11, the newpapers and magazines (New York, Vanity Fair) had Rudy-Judy sightings and gossip... one I recall was how Rudy spent Thanksgiving with his mistress and her daughter, not his current wife and 2 children.

Oh, if his opponents can get their hands on some of this material... it must exist. Online? On microfilm? Micrfiche?

Handler, "Hey Rudy, if you're going to announce soon, it might look good if you at least try to reach out to your kids..."

6. Rudy also brought his mistress into their home.
Why would the kids want anything to do with this POS. Sure he is their father, but some father....

8. You gotta understand something: The kids were once very close to him and
Andrew just about worshipped Rudy Giuliani, the man, as his father. Ask any NYC-er who saw Rudy making his first inaugural speech in January 1994 (I think). Eight-year old Andrew was by his elbow, literally repeating/echoing EACH word of the speech, and it was a long speech. When Rudy forgot the last two sentences of the speech and prematurely was about to conclude, Andrew piped up and injected the missing phrases. And Rudy was proud rather than chagrined to be upstaged by his son. A lot of us (me included) thought the kid was a little too close and identified a little too much with his father at the time. I change my opinion today.
