Poll question: Will Democrats shut down right wing ''off the books'' intel ops if they win in November?
We are still vulnerable to http://professorsmartass.blogspot.com/2008/05/appeaser-in-chief-bush-visits-911.html">terrorist attacks from our allies like Saudi if we don't shut down the cells within the CIA and other agencies and outside the government operatives like http://professorsmartass.blogspot.com/2007/07/bbc-video-on-false-flag-terror-intel.html">Michael Ledeen.

Enough honest people have in the CIA have stuck out their necks during the Bush years to make it clear there is the will to do so within the agency, but they need Congress and the next president to back them up or they won't be able to purge the cancer.

It would seem like it would be in the Democrats personal self-interests to do so if they don't want to get anthrax letters in the future, or find themselves called traitors after another terrorist attack with likely harsher measures taken against them than being shut out of conference committees and the like.

As long as these loose cannons are loose, they are free to misdirect our foreign policy with Osama tapes, stirring up ethnic conflicts, and terrorist attacks on American people.

5. No, it is outside of their purview.
The shadow government is impervious to the four year election cycle.
