1. I just can't quite feel sorry for these people

Most of those magnets are made overseas and sold here under the pretense of "support our troops" and not one dime made from those ribbons has gone to one thing remotely supporting our troops.

I support our troops, I want them home and safe.

3. There was a guy from NH who used to post on DU.

Can't remember his nick. But he was making progressive car magnets when they were all the rave.

I had wanted one that was purple and read "One Nation Under Fraud." He said he'd kindly make me one for about 4 bucks.

I later learned that the magnets trapped moisture underneath them and would eventually result in acute body rust.

I thought, "How poignant."

As is this news.
