4. LOL! That's funny.
Maybe we should start a 527 called the Libertarian Dittoheads For Chaos!

We can raise money for Barr to split the GOP vote and blame Rush at the same time!

6. i'd rather put money on the roof of my car and drive away than send it to Bob Barr.
if the anti government militia types really want Bob to win let them finance it, it'll be a good test to see how many libertarians there really are.

7. It's perfectly all right to ask the question here,
but I don't think it is an idea that will receive much positive response on DU, as you have probably already noticed.

Libertarians are not particularly liberal, in the modern sense of the word - nor particularly progressive in any sense.

10. I agree, he could not only be their Ross Perot,
Edited on Sun May-25-08 07:51 PM by Stuart G
but, maybe even a Ralph Nader influence. Who knows how close it might become?.

..These right wing nuts try to hurt us in any way .
....Would funding this particular form of nut hurt them? I suspect so, that is why I asked this question in the first place.

9. No, but we should encourage Republicans we know to do so
You probably know the types I'm talking about. NO WAY will they vote Democratic, but they really don't like McCain. I'm pushing the Libertarian Party as a viable alternative for them--use their votes to send a "message" to the GOP. I've found when I talk about it, these Republicans are at first very surprised, and then actually start to listen to what I say.

11. HELL no
he's nuts. Oh, he's a fellow ACLU member who joined up when he found out how antiamerican Stupid and his freak show really were, but he's still against women and gays and blacks and anybody else who isn't on the GOP white male approval list.

He'll get plenty of money from GOPs who don't want 4 more years of the war and a shit economy. We don't have to do a thing.
