17. That's true. The few that die will be due to
pilot error or mechanical malfunction.

Or maybe a few air controllers, who will see sniper fire and IEDs, possibly even "friendly" air force munitions badly aimed, ouch.

Until that happens, they'll enjoy clean quarters, good food, quality golf courses, and won't have to overdo the shoeshines.

9. Words almost fail me
All I can say is thank goodness the adults are back in charge. :sarcasm: Does that man ever, just once is all I'm asking for here, stop to consider how stupid he comes across when he pulls stunts like these? I mean, a joke with a cadet, ok; posing for a photo, fine; even saying hi on the cell phone, acceptable; but bumping chests, blowing kisses? And fundys say we are not descended from a common ancestor with the great apes - oy.

10. If it's good for troop morale to have the president clown with them, then I guess it's okay.
Still...

... I can't see the fun involved in rubbing dicks with the president. But maybe that's just me.

12. Obscene.
Embarassing. Tragic. Vulgar. Disgusting. Shameful. Crass.

In the presence of those who have worked so hard and will sacrifice so much in order to wear the uniform and NOT run away once their picture is taken in it (unlike their so-called Commander in Chief), he behaves like the town drunk. Had there been a table handy, he would have danced on it while singing that it's all about him. On some level I'd hoped that he'd treat this last time with a bit of class. Silly me.

To the graduates: Congratulations and thank you. Sorry your parade got rained on (in more ways than one).

22. This is the part that scares me: the brainwashing of the future military leaders.
"Bush is one of the guys" is what they'll be saying to themselves, and "He's a fun guy, the kind you want to have a beer with." And then they'll confuse his friendliness with policy and buy his schtick lock, stock, and barrel. Yuck.
