just saw scotty's today show appearance on youtube....
when he was press secretary you could tell he was either constantly covering up and lying or he was basically uncomfortable with what he was saying. he never looked comfortable up there at the podium. he never looked sincere.

in his today show appearance he looks relaxed and totally comfortable and sincere. i like the new scott mcclellan so far. i think the guy really has a conscience, something most repukes don't have.

sure it's late to be speaking up now. but at least he's doing it.

1. you need to stop apologizing for him
again, if this had anything to do with his convictions he wouldnt be cashing in on it. Period.

4. Yup. Call up Fitzgerald and tell all of this (and more) under oath.
Until then he is just another tabloid huckster.

5. i'm not apologizing for him....
...just making observations.

i wish he had spoken up sooner. but, i'm just happy that a guy from the inside circle is talking at all.

let's sit back and see what develops from this.

6. I'm not saying its bad that he's talking
I am saying there is absolutely nothing sincere about what he is doing. This is all about money to him, and any time you forget that you are making him look more human than he really is.

I'm sorry there are plenty of times I am able to forgive someone when they offer an apology. In this case the only reason he is offering the apology is to cash in on that and he will get absolutely no respect from me for it. Fuck him.

3. I'm glad he is speaking up - it has been a very rare even among repubs lately
I think like many of us he felt dupped or at least disillusioned by the administration. None of us likes being played for a fool in front of the world.

7. If he had spoken out at the time,
no one would have heard him, he would have resigned early, and we would not know anything now.

10. I don't think he has a conscience, he is just getting revenge for being lied to
Edited on Thu May-29-08 03:03 PM by LSK
Remember he went to Rove and Scooter and Dick and was assured they had nothing to do with Plamegate. He was lied to and made to look like a fool everyday. He is getting revenge.
