Perhaps Scott McClellan Wants To Be The Central Figure In Impeachment
It's historic and he gets back at everyone who made fun of the pudgy pig-man at the podium. Who knows what went on in the White House.

Maybe he sees himself enjoying the redemption as John Dean has. Writing more books and having his place in history as the one who finally made the administration pay a price.

one of America's greatest heroes. We have long needed at least one insider who had the irrefutable
evidence to have the courage to step up and bring this terrible nightmare to a halt.

My guess is that he doesn't have the bullet proof evidence needed to bring Bush down. But all evidence is helpful. But if he does have it, Congress should take a depostition from him immediately and then place him in protective custody under strict Congressional control.

3. Wish it were so, but I think most of his info is second-hand
and therefore inadmissible. I think the best bet is Rove. Enough pressure and he'd turn his grandmother in.

4. I'm thinking that the book leads to hearings because it raises questions
And in hearings there are people who will spill largely under promise of immunity. One small step until there's a quantum leap.

5. You are probably right. However, sometimes the "real thing" lies
hidden among useless information. As I recall, the existence of the Nixon tapes came out, almost by
coincidence during the Watergate hearings. Sometimes the evidence is a result of several pieces that
fit together.

The fact is there are many people who have the goods on Bush. All it would take is one.

13. I think Rove is the key to this..
they must be getting very close to nailing Rove, and Scotty figured he's already taken one fall for Rove, he's not taking another one.

6. Dean was more timely.
Still fairly early in the Watergate hearings. And he served time.

Do you suppose McClellan perjured himself with Fitzgerald?

I'm imagining Fitz's staff going over transcripts as we speak.

And to be honest, I don't remember if Scott testified.
