WTF? :wtf:

Commentary - Peter Schweizer: Conservatives more honest than liberals?

WASHINGTON (Map, News) -

The headline may seem like a trick question — even a dangerous one — to ask during an election year. And notice, please, that I didn’t ask whether certain politicians are more honest than others. (Politicians are a different species altogether.) Yet there is a striking gap between the manner in which liberals and conservatives address the issue of honesty.

Consider these results:

Is it OK to cheat on your taxes? A total of 57 percent of those who described themselves as “very liberal” said yes in response to the World Values Survey, compared with only 20 percent of those who are “very conservative.” When Pew Research asked whether it was “morally wrong” to cheat Uncle Sam, 86 percent of conservatives agreed, compared with only 68 percent of liberals.

Ponder this scenario, offered by the National Cultural Values Survey: “You lose your job. Your friend’s company is looking for someone to do temporary work. They are willing to pay the person in cash to avoid taxes and allow the person to still collect unemployment. What would you do?”

Almost half, or 49 percent, of self-described progressives would go along with the scheme, but only 21 percent of conservatives said they would.

2. They're both unreadable. The Chron shilled for the voting machine
felons. I spent months calling them out on that and finally just checked out except for reading Jon, sometimes Leah and Bad Report.

3. A lot of those same Republicans would also claim to never have voted for *.
I gave up on the conservative, Xian Republicans in my life when I could no longer take the hypocrisy - serial adultery, greed and avarice, pro-life yet pro-death penalty, projection, "say anything", etc..., all the while, criticizing and hating others - not the sin, but the sinner.

There is something defective in too many of these people's heads which gives them the ability to justify and rationalize any stance they choose to take, any action they perform.

But I'm sure they told the truth in the poll. Most Democrats are tax cheats. It's obvious. That's why we don't care if there's a "tax and spend" Democratic Administration and Congress: We're not going to pay the taxes anyway. We elect Dems so the hard-working, tax-paying Republicans can support us through social programs.

:sarcasm:

4. My copy says Examiner.com....NORFOLK..IT PICKS UP ON WHERE YOU LIVE
THIS IS NOT A SAN FRANCISCO PAPER IT IS GARBAGE!!! I clicked the Pew Research link and got Examiner.com...it did not link to the Pew Research study. When I googled "journal of education for business" I got some place called HELDREF (Helen Dwight Reid) never heard of her BUT a book she wrote was forwarded by Jeane Kirkpatrick! AND I believe all the other 'journals' listed in that trash report is included under the HELDREF umbrella!!?? http://www.heldref.org/about.php

5. Yeah, it's not the SF Examiner, that's for sure.
And this columnist linked in the original post is just some small-time right wing douchebag.

7. The Examiner is a once-great paper...
that is now a right-wing, free weekly rag that no one takes seriously. The main liberalish paper of SF is now the Chronicle ( switcheroo from the old days), with the premier liberal paper being The Bay Guardian.

I use the Examiner to wrap stuff for shipping and to protect the floors when painting -- it is good for nothing else.

9. So, who would commit war crimes based on lies?
Our survey says that it's only the Republicans who have done that this centurym, Mr. Schweizer. And which incident affects more people: an illegal war of aggression, or someone chiseling a few more weeks of unemployment benefits?

Boy, that's a toughie. Better sit down and think about that one for a while.
