How come so many expression of contempt, or being taken advantage of,

involve the sex act?

"I got screwed."
"We're being screwed by the government."
"Fuck you!"

And so on. Anybody got an idea?

1. Just guessing here -- I'm neither a sociologist nor a psychologist . . .
But rape is one of the most devastating form of assault, and sex is always on humans' minds. Put 'em together and you get "screw you!"

alive." Courting of a female takes concentration and resources and time commitment. But the way to spread the mostest DNA the fastest is rape, which explains why the behavior continues to be inherited.

The threat of rape works because the mindlessness of the violence is frightening, the breakdown of the human social contract. (mental image just came to mind of expecting Noam Chomsky at the door as a guest but finding Darth ("Fuck you") Cheney standing there instead)

Threatening rape says "I am not bound by human rules of decency."

jmo.

4. It sort of reveals subconsciously the old attitude that a woman
is being taken advantage of, losing something, while the man is gaining something. Sort of reflects Don Juan - he'd seduce women, then not marry them. So they got "cheated." Any woman who took that chance was subjecting herself to his not following through. He got something, she lost something (now she's not a virgin). The attitude at that time was such that she was "cheated" by making the implicit bargain with him that she'd sleep with him and he'd marry her because he loved her; then she'd find out he didn't and was just fooling her.
