Sarge, host of the Unreported News.Net Radio Show on 1480 KPHX Progressive Talk Phoenix and Nova M Radio, told me that U-Haul is considering ending it's sponsorship of the show. Some right wingers have complained about Sarge's criticism of President Bush and the mishandling of the recovery along the Gulf Coast in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Sarge has tried to raise awareness of the problems along the Gulf Coast, along with address such issues as homelessness, prison reform, the environment and other important topics. I urge you to contact U-Haul and urge them to keep sponsoring his show.

I just heard that the well funded conservative community is demanding you remove your support of Sarge's program.

Conservatives have bullied so many sponsors of non-conservative programs that the only thing left on the airwaves is a single viewpoint, theirs.

Every e-mail helps. I am just SICK of right wingers trying to silence progressives - they only have the bulk of talk radio hours in the country.

Let me share with the board what I wrote:

Hello,

I am a regular listener to the Unreported News.Net Radio Show on 1480 KPHX Phoenix and stream the show Sunday mornings from my computer in Northwest Indiana. I have used U-Haul in the past for my moves, as has my family.

Today, I am contacting you to urge that you continue to support the Unreported News.Net Radio Show. You have supported the show greatly, and the show provides a valuable service to its listeners.

Sarge is not afraid to criticize the Bush administration for its many failings, including the failure to adequately respond to Hurricane Katrina and to strongly support rebuilding efforts along the Gulf Coast. While some may condemn any criticism of a sitting president as unpatriotic, I would argue that there is nothing more patriotic and American than the right of a single person to criticize the powerful and demand the redress of grievances.

So, I would ask that you ignore those voices asking you to stop supporting the show. Sarge has done a lot of good along the Gulf Coast and in the Phoenix area.
