Question about RW trolls
How do some of them get to over 1000 posts @ DU without any mods catching on?

Do they have some secret method for pumping up their post totals?

4. We're too tolerant, frankly
I waited WEEKS for one notable and annoying troll who was following me around to be tombstoned. He got to something like 680 posts before the inevitable occurred.

OTOH, my rather unvarnished views ruffle a lot of feathers here, so I probably would have been banned had higher standards been there.

I've havent been here long myself but trolls seem to run the spectrum of politics. I've seen a few left wing trolls too. Disrupting the flow of thought and open discussion seems to be popular on some of the more hot button issues.

8. Posting mainly in the Lounge
Frankly, quite a few people who have been around for any time at all boost their post count in the Lounge. It makes it difficult to ascertain who is a real lib and who is a troll or plant as a result.

It would make a humongous difference to take away the count from the Lounge only for everyone--and make it somewhat easier to see who was more than a troll or right-winger.

Only recently have I decided to post a bit more regularly, but I've been regularly reading threads here for years (at least 3, probably 4). Although it's true that few trolls survive to 1000 posts, not everyone with low numbers is a troll.

20. That's true but the trolls are out there. We should be wary of anyone stirring
the pot between Clinton and Obama. Don't join in is the best way to deal with it. There are some legitimate anger issues that some DUers have. But after a few weeks we should be out of the anger phase. Trolls will be easier to spot then.
