“{I}n another indication that the GOP nominee is distancing himself from the man he wants to replace,” Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will not attend President Bush’s major fundraising dinner for congressional candidates. While the McCain campaign offered no comment, Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) said, “Maybe he found a better dinner?”

2. Good! McCain continue to piss off his base
When he need volunteers to go knock on doors to get out the vote he will be hurting. McCain might get landslided he is a terrible candidate. If it wasn't for the media giving McCain a free pass and pounding Obama, McCain would be behind 10 - 15 nationally
