I'm Sick of Hearing About the Post 911 World!!!...
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 05:43 AM by Indi Guy
America was founded in the face of absolute tyranny.

Yes, 911 was a disastrous incident. I cried my eyes out when it's full impact hit me.

Is this any different from the anguish experienced by our founding fathers and citizens who suffered under the savage nature of British rule?

How is it justifiable that a nation born of freedom from tyranny should relinquish it's blood-gained independence to a gang of home-grown ideologically inbred paranoid political pretenders to the throne of security?

1. "Post 9/11" is their code for "pre-1776"
When they say "everything changed" I start to think... well... they started to allow kids to have cell phones at school...

3. It's more significant that we are in a post-Iraq invasion world
The threat on 9/11 was neither existential (ie. a threat to our sovereignty) nor transcendental (ie. necessitating a rethinking of our constitutional principles) though we were told that they were both. The Iraq invasion, however, has greatly limited American diplomatic, economic and military power. That's what we really need to face and deal with.

4. Post constitutional era in the US is what I call it.
If we don't force constitutional rule back into play, we'll lose it forever. Many people think they have repesentation, but in reality, we are mainly ignored for the self-interests of politicians. Now those politicians can operate without rules.
