9. It was a truly great speech. I forgive her for making it 3 days late
I don't think she could have carried it off, nor could her supporters on Tuesday.

So it can continue to give you pleasure.

It was gracious and unifying.

16. This is the archetype that has represented Obama here on the DU
...for the last several months. There is no question why so many Democrats have been driven out of the party.

MOST of the harshest Clinton critics are giving her "props". Only those with unreasonable visceral reactions to Clinton AND Obama are continuing the hate-fest.

their reasonable criticism today out of respect for our DU friends. :hi:

22. I didn't mean to imply the hate resides on one side.
I am excited and encouraged by the unity that is developing. I hope all Democrats realize how engaged politically we've all become as a result of these primaries. The turn-out at the primaries across the board has been nothing short of earth-shattering. We need to keep that fire under our asses for several more months.

If for nothing else, I thank Clinton for staying in the race for that reason alone. People CARE. A lot of people. And we need to keep caring.

I had no horse in this race. My horse never entered the race this time. And by horse I mean future husband. :)

She owes you nothing.

Now thank your lucky stars that this courageous woman is a lady. And a Democrat. She knows what that means even if most of you don't.

21. It takes time to prepare a great speech such as she gave.
Those who have never done a lot of public speaking have no idea how long it takes to write and prepare to give a great speech. Not to mention, one has to be in the right place emotionally to give the speech. What is the hurry? That is what is so wrong with so many things - everyone wants immediate gratification. Hold on to your horses - sometimes things are better with a little time to reflect and to craft a great speech instead of a mediocre one.
