I don't think Obama should go to Iraq
It's not very secure yet, and he's very dangerous to the Bush/McCain/Osama cartel right now.

1. I'd like to agree.. but as Michelle says, "fear is a useless emotion"..
but I'd still like him to stay out before the election..

3. I disagree with Michelle...
fear is a very useful emotion, to keep us from harm.
However, letting fear run your life and your decisions allows for fascism to flourish, and bravado can cause great damage.

So, keep a happy middle ground, and stay home, Barack!

2. I kind of agree...
1 - He's already been there
2 - He should not go just because McCain said he should
3 - He already promised to end the war. So what woud be the goal of the trip?

I think it is a dangerous trip - and I agree with TOJ the danger wouldn't come from the insurgency this time - , and that maybe he should not go, and save himself for the important battle ahead of him in the US.

4. Dangerous, yes -- I agree. But it would be very impressive for
Obama to go now (or soon) and visit with our men and women in uniform there, and to visit with Iraqi citizens there in a very high-profile trip.

McCain's armed contingent thru the streets after boasting of the safety in Baghdad would stand in contrast to Obama's empathy for the human beings on the ground there.

5. No reason for him to put that extra strain
on our forces. You saw what it took to "secure" McSame. He can get all the information he needs from advisors already there.

6. If he responds to McSame's challenge, he'll be playing follow-the-leader
Which would imply that somehow Obama sees Iraq as a weakness, and he has to respond to the challenge to appear tough.

Screw McSame. He sets NO agenda.

8. I think he should take the money it would cost to go to Iraq...
and donate it to a Veteran's Hospital. You know, one of the many that don't seem to have the funds to help the wounded once they are back here.

10. No point. It's not like he hasn't been to Iraq before.
