1. Is there really a war on the family?
It doesn't surprise me one bit, but I must not travel in these warring circles, because this is the first I've heard of it.

8. The "war on Christmas" is a bull shit media hype
The war on terror is a lie designed by the reich wing to enable them to take civil liberties from US Citizens.

The war on terror is concocted to dismantle the Constitution where the "war on Christmas" is a bunch of bible bangers crying about the commercialization of a religious holiday. One they participate in themselves.

10. Perhaps I took too many drugs as a youth but I count '4'
And they are all total bullshit. None of them is a war in any sense of the word, although under the pretense of the 'war' on terror we actually did invade and occupy a nation in an act of real war.

35. I vote all of the above
I can't decide which is the most detrimental, the 'war on drugs' keeps how many millions of Americans in prison for victimless crimes??, but the war on terror makes all of US(and the Constitution) victims.

19. Can't you make an "All of the Above" to choose.. I guess I go with other..
they are all lies used to steal money more money.. Probably the war on Christmas is the most benign.. but it is asinign and it causes idiotry during a time when most people are carefree and full of joy and happinesss.. the holidays are always full of cheer.. its infectous.. God forbid we had that joyous feeling all year long.. and took just a little bit more time and patience for one another... Its like they can't stand people to be happy.. they feed off of fear and hate.. pigs.

22. Not Fair!
War on Drugs and War on Terror are both equally a lie.

The War on Terror is simply more immediate, as it entails hundreds of thousands of lives snuffed out violently, shattered lives, shattered families. This MUST stop NOW!

25. How about all of they above?
The war on drugs is a joke, not enough is being done to combat it!

The war on terror, is a way the current administration can pull the wool of the American people eyes!

The war on family has the wrong emphasis placed on it!

The war on Christmas is a non-issue, but is bolstered by the Republicans!

28. Phony War$ promote what they pretend to be against. Orwell was right
The "war" on drugs, the "war" on terror = six of one, half a dozen of the other. Both are covers for ulterior agendas that have more to do with enhancing what they claim to be against.

34. I simply couldn't decide between "The War on Drugs" and "The War on Terror" I believe these
Edited on Mon Jun-09-08 01:29 PM by Uncle Joe
Orwellian concepts are equal in their real desire to disenfranchise the American People from their government.

The primary purpose of both is to invade, restrict, diminish and erode the American People's real freedom, that of privacy in order to take their power away with the long term goal of enslaving them to corporations, whether it be the booming prison industry with our world record number of prisoners here in the "land of the free" or the private mercenaries leeching away precious tax dollars from the military which is accountable to the government; which is supposed to be for the American People.

I believe it is literally impossible to ever win a war against an inanimate object which has no concept of surrender, ie; Marijuana simply doesn't give a damn whether you burn it as a doobie, in a bong or a police confiscated bonfire or to win a war against an emotion such terror or fear. These wars are perpetual, that means forever for lurking freepers and they're impossible to win without putting every single American in prison and guarding them around the clock to make sure they don't become afraid.

Non-violent drug addiction should be treated as a medical and or educational issue, not a criminal one. The only beneficiaries of the so called "War Against Drugs" other than the for profit prison industry and the same drug companies which gouge the American People while relentlessly pushing their legal drugs every night during the primetime news hour, is organized crime.

If Al Qaueda or any other entity or nation attacks us, you declare war against them, you don't declare war against a feeling or the American People.

In summation I believe the real war being declared is a subliminal war against the American People by the corporations and the corporate media for the most part is their primary propaganda tool. Scottie McClellan only told a very small part of the story.

Thanks for the thread, cccharles000.

36. The war on drugs was founded on lies, terrorism, and treason.
After 9/11 Bush said that the War on terrorism would be a lot like the War on drugs. He was right. See above.
