1. Around Christmas time, look for the pardons to come flying
Repeat of 1992

2. Absolutely, but will they be allowed to stand
in the absence of charges?

The Nixon precedent will be cited, but is that a legal and constitutional precedent? Can people be given pardons for crimes they might have committed? Can people be given pardons for treason?

The latter is the real question here.

4. bu$h Sr. pardoned Casper Weinberger
who hadn't been convicted of any crime. And bu$h Jr. has never shown any respect for precedence, unless it suits his agenda.

6. Pardons are their ace in the hole
But a pardon will not protect many of them from prosecution for war crimes at the ICC.

11. They would still be safe if they didn't leave the country
or went to some country that didn't recognize the ICC.

14. IMHO, Bush pardons Cheney. Next day, GWB resigns. Cheney takes oath and pardons Bush.
It can all happen in one day.

The "Bush legacy" picks up the "Get out of Jail" card.

8. So when they said, "Be afraid, be very afraid," they were talking to/about themselves?

9. More of the quote
"White House lawyers are concerned, very concerned, now that Scott McClellan’s book has led Henry Waxman and John Conyers to take another look at the Valerie Plame business. There may be hearings. Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald may be called. Just another way in which a Democratic Congress might make a difference during the fall."

If you watch the video their concern for the administration is touching (barf) and you may notice Mr. Duffy smile when he says there isn't time for impeachment. Wishful thinking?

It's only a short clip so I don't know if the show actually had more information than we've seen but the fact that they don't touch the issue of this administration's treasonous actions and the lack of consequence for them --- and instead discuss the political implications is more than enough reason to loath the both of these men. Shouldn't they be more concerned about that than the (supposed) impeachment time constraints and Obama?

10. It took years for Patrick Fitzgerald to indict and convict
George Ryan, Jimmy Duff, Robert Sorich, and Tony Rezko because they had insulated themselves with high-priced defense teams. Look how long it took to indict and convict Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling! Cheney will not be easy to take down, he may even seek safe haven in Dubai?
