Carol McCain STILL loves John.....in the 'true' sense.

Who could be lucky enough to experience that kind of loyalty and love and then "turn it down"? What does that say about this man/person?

1. At the risk of sounding "Psych 101," if she were to condemn him...

...she'd have to condemn herself, too. Apparently, she did to her first husband exactly what McCain did to her. So, it's likely that convincing herself McCain's a good person is just a defense mechanism.

4. Pure speculation, on my part, but based on this paragraph, in the article...

"Carol fell into his fast-living world by accident. She escaped a poor upbringing in Philadelphia to become a successful model, married an Annapolis classmate of McCain�s and had two children � Douglas and Andrew � before renewing what one acquaintance calls �an old flirtation� with McCain."

I doubt if husband #1 is still around because, if he were, I think someone would have interviewed him long before now. Oh, well. As I said, it was just speculation.

Sounds mighty fishy to me, too. And remember McCain is rumored to have messed around with that young, blonde lobbyist. What a mess.

10. And from what I hear, McCain's current marriage

is just a sham for the tabloids, cameras and his career. I feel sorry for the women who get involved with him.

I guess when McCain took his marriage vows he really didn't mean for better or worse and added his own footnote to in sickness and in health.
