BREAKING: There is STILL NO NEWS occurring. TimmehPalooza - Day ??
I'm hearing through my underground grapevine that millions of people are walking to Washington DC, or have already arrived. Word is that a tent city has started to grow. It's thousands of people who have started visualizing a new way of life. Russert's passing has inspired a grass roots movement of neo-hippies. Who would have thought? This is truly mind-boggling. I figuratively re-recommend every thread that pointed out the complete absurdity of this media world.

1. I am so lucky, my tv gets more than just MSNBC (when I have it on)
go to the web for news. As far as the flood is involved, I'm sure those under water know that the rivers are high.

5. Tell me this isn't true.
This is a joke right. Lets have a national Tim Russert day every year, I could use another day off. There are people who don't have cable and have no idea who Tim Russert was. I have cable and I didn't who he was.

10. Tim Russert has been canonized as the perfect saint..
.. of broadcast news. I'm surprised they're not making icons and holy cards... t-shirts for sure.

12. I don't watch broadcast news, it isn't news.
What about the flooding going on in the midwest, are they showing pictures of that. I have been watching the live stream on my computer. People having their homes washed away, some people are dead. That is what I find sad.

13. I'm afraid you haven't completely missed it
DU has been 24/7 canonizing and demonizing Tim Russert since his untimely death. Every third discussion seems to be about it.

11. big deal, so the coverage preempted some shows about...
people in jail or people about to go there. perhaps that is the silver lining in this.
